BMKG: Heavy Rain Predicted Until Afternoon

Climatology Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning that saying heavy rain accompanied by lightning will still pour Jakarta and its surrounding regions. 

It is predicted will still be ongoing until 2 PM and spread to other regions

Desmanto, an operations officer of City BPBD's operational control center (pusdalops) expressed rain poured some regions at 12 PM, namely Kebayoran Lama, Kebayoran Baru, Mampang, Tanah Abang, Setiabudi, Menteng, Matraman, Cempaka Putih, Bekasi, Pondok Gede, Jatiasih, and its surrounding areas.

"It is predicted will still be ongoing until 2 PM and spread to other regions," he predicted, Tuesday (8/3).

Heavy Rain will Pour in One Week, BMKG Predicts

Other regions that hit by rain are almost in Central Jakarta, Pancoran, Tebet, Pasar Minggu, West Jakarta, Tangerang, Pondok Cabe, Gandul, Pondok Aren, and Ciputat.

Similar weather is also spotted in Cilandak, Pesanggrahan, Kramat Jati, Makassar, Duren Sawit, Jatinegara, Jagakarsa, Senen, Pulogadung, Cinere, Pamulang, Setiabudi, Rawamangun, Cipinang, Serpong, Ciracas, Cipayung, and its surrounding regions.

While according to BPBD's temporary data, in Setiabudi Barat, inundation seen in front of Setiabudi Urban Village as high as 40-50 cm.
